Authenticity

It can be hard to be yourself in a world that makes us think we are not enough. Not rich enough, pretty enough, smart enough, and so on. Growing up, I was such a people pleaser and would adjust myself in order to fit in. I wanted people to like me and would sometimes live out of alignment with myself in order to be liked. Sometimes I catch myself still doing that and a part of my healing journey this year is to always be true to myself and to embrace who I am.

Authenticity is the courage to be yourself. People might not like you, they might disagree with you, but you show them who you are anyways. Don’t trade your authenticity for approval. When you have the courage to be yourself, you’ll feel freedom like no other. The right people will love the real, beautiful, and creative soul that you are. Quirks and all. When you show up authentic, you create the  space for others to do the same. Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make everyday. It’s about the choice to show up and be real. The choice to be honest. And the choice to let our true selves be seen. Don’t be afraid to speak your truth and let your soul be seen and heard. Find the courage to be imperfect and vulnerable and let go of who we think we are supposed to be and embrace who we are. Being yourself will radiate more pure energy than trying to be an ideal you. What you see as flaws are actually unique design choices. The divine made you so unique and so beautiful just the way you are.
